The Night Ride (or the Night Flight as it comes in Medieval and early Modern sources) is a phenomenon often associated with witches and their night processions with their goddess, attending their Sabbats on the backs of animals and beasts, and occasionally meeting up with the Devil. Let’s explore this phenomenon, as well as the stereotypical figure of the diabolical flying woman and the religious perceptions towards the Witch-Ride.
