On this video I shall explore the Roman goddess Diana as she was understood to be the goddess of the pagans in the Middle Ages and early Modern Period. I wil mainly focus on the document Canon Episcopi, as well as the shaping of the figure of the witch, and how a Church’s reinterpertation of Diana whould change the entire religious mindset of neo-pagan religious manifestations based on the figure of the Great Mother Goddess.
